Welcome to Season 2 of Our Foundations. This episode serves as a general introduction to the ideas and structure of Season 2. The short version- history can be cyclical in ways and can be very helpful when assessing and understanding current and future events. There is a direct parallel between our modern times with the rise of the internet, Big Tech, the modern State, anti-establishment movements, dominant international corporations, etc. and the historic period of the late Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation with the printing press, the historic Church, Christendom, the Reformation, feudalism, and other aspects. Season 2 will begin with some guest hosts of other podcasts in relevant fields coming on to cover these themes with me from their respective perspectives and then the rest of the season will consist of me expounding on specific parallels and correlations. This is a case study of three different alternative options for various stages of education. Sudbury schools offer a physical school that is structured around self directed learning and student leadership. The Ron Paul Homeschooling Curriculum is a fairly structured, mostly online option for homeschoolers who want a system to follow but still want to be home based, self directed, and promote critical thinking. Praxis is a college alternative that offers a fairly quick and cheap way to go from high school or any other stage in life into a promising career through education, project learning, apprenticeship, and more. These all offer alternatives to the standard system and are good examples to wrap up this series on education.

Two great examples of blockchain projects currently in the works are PIVX and Cardano. PIVX is a decentralized, privacy-centric cryptocurrency. This likely sounds very far fetched or naive if you aren't familiar with the philosophy but I think you will be surprised at how much sense it makes. Is it even possible for a government to exist with voluntary participation? One that is efficient, effective, and moral? I am proposing that not only is it possible but it would theoretically be much better than any current system in today's world. I lay out what this government would look like, how it would work, what the incentive models would be, and some ways it could actually be worked towards and partially adopted out of existing modern government structures. Past episodes have laid out how government is immoral, impractical, corrupt, and so on. Now I feel the responsibility to present an alternative without totally ditching the idea of having a government (that will be next episode).

Are modern governments an efficient and effective way to manage a society? Are they even incentivised to manage society well, for the benefit of all, and with a long term vision? In this update episode, I'll cover the outline for this series on assessing government as a system first. Next is an update on Epstein. Since that episode focused on a moral assessment from a fairly universal view, I'll highlight in this episode a moral assessment from a Judeo-Christian or biblical view. In order to really look into political structures, we need to asses government as a system. There are certain things that exist in all modern governments that we can look at to help assess "government" on a macro level. These include taxation, rights to freedom or slavery, property rights, fiat money, and war/ defense. For the final episode in this series on agorism, I highlight some agorist communities. These groups of people have focused on taking care of themselves without reliance or involvement with the State. The first example is historical with the Taborites, an early reformist group from the 1400s. This leads into other groups that spawned out of the reformation, mainly the anabaptists, including the Menonites, Amish, and Bruderhofs. After this, we take a trip to Mexico and look at how some communities have set up whole market and monetary systems that are local and independent of the State. For another Mexican example, Cheran is a town that kicked out the cartels and the government and opted for self rule. The final community in focus will be Rojava, or The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. This area has declared independence from all States and is a bastion of liberty and equality in the middle of the oppressive countries of Iran, Turkey, and Syria.

To wrap up the series on corruption and conspiracy, there's no better topic and theme than the New World Order. You've probably heard the term from world leaders over the past few decades along with a push for globalization, unity, and international regulations. I'll explore what the concept is, what the goals are, and what tools and methods are used or will be used to accomplish these. It sounds great to hear about world peace, ending poverty, and saving the planet but practically, what does this actually mean and involve? Topics also include economic equality, discrimination, environmentalism and global warming, ethnic homogeneity, nationalism, technocracy, cybernetics, and social engineering.
Prior to covering the New World Order, I go over similar ideologies from Plato and Aristotle. They had views on the relationship between society and the State that are very similar to those behind the New World Order. These include eugenics, social engineering, surveillance, education methods, and more. Times change but ideas are eternal. Human nature is the same as well. The New World Order is a relatively new idea but it's roots lie in very old philosophy.

Corruption and conspiracy in government. This is a big episode- in scope, length, and substance. The main groups discussed are the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, CIA, and NSA with further coverage of false flag operations and other documented conspiracies and events of corruption. It will be difficult to still have faith in your government after this one. What's great about many of these examples is that most have been documented then declassified or leaked and have collaborating statements by officials about the operations. We don't even have to get into the "theories" like JFK or 9/11 or aliens. There is plenty to pick from out of the plethora of "official sources". Schooling methods and curriculum have had an impact on society. We've looked at how the education system fails to educate in some key ways and educates to the harm of individuals in others. Now we look at what effect this has had on society and us as citizens... no trivium, mono-layer thinking, need for entertainment, lack of logic, an overview of fallacies, and more. We'll then dive into a few key documents- an influential book on education by one of the founding thinkers in modern education, a government funded model for a universal schooling initiative, and a study on how well top colleges have been educating their students. This is a long episode but I felt the information was important and didn't want to cut anymore than I already had.

We live in a debt based society from our personal lives to the governments of the world to the corporations we buy from. We finance more than we have, borrow enough to strap us in debt for decades, and don't even question the mechanics of how this works and what it's doing to society. It's time to look at the State of the Union from an economic standpoint. As usual, the examples are from the U.S. but with minor adjustments to the stats, the same principles currently apply to most current industrial nations.
