5.5 Joseph- the Christian in Government

Joseph is one of the few examples we have a someone who follows God loyally and is also a government official. As we continue to look into the theology of obedience and the relationship between the Christian and the state, this provides a great example of direct involvement. While we are to avoid participation in a corrupt system, we are also to submit to governing authorities and Joseph is a great example of one of the rare times that a Christian is rightly a part of the state.
